Wheaton College Presidential Dining Hall

Wheaton College is a small liberal arts college in Massachusetts that cherishes its traditions. One such tradition that they hold dear to them is the President’s Dinner where all incoming freshmen are invited to the President’s house for dinner. With class sizes increasing every year, the president needed a new dining hall that could seat up to 50 people so he could hold bigger gatherings. This project aimed to achieve just that while making it appear as if the building had been there since the foundation of the school in 1857. The project began with designing at a more urban scale and moved down to the scale of the overall building then even further to interior scale and finally to the scale of the moldings. This project is sure to accomodate any party the president of Wheaton College would like to throw.
