GreenLine Park
GreenLine Park designed to bring a lush dense green corridor to the neighborhood of Little River in Miami, Florida. It provides essential area of residents and visitors to stroll, sit, eat, jog, play, and create special moment.
Native trees line the walkways and provide a boarder for the train tracks and the parallel roads, as well as providing shade for the park. Pavilions are scattered throughout allowing for shelter as well as places to get water and food. Other notable features include, bicycle lanes and a train station.
The project aims to reclaim used space to create an environment in which people can gather in an open area, away from the city. In doing so, GreenLine Park, also allows for the future of the rising sea level by creating a space where water can gather. By looking at the predicted flood maps for the coming years, a homogenous building fabric was created to build on columns which allows for the first floor to be 20 feet above the ground.
