The Everglades Meeting Hall aims to bring a sense of permanence and solidity to the landscape. In hopes of providing a dedicated space in the heart of the Everglades, regional leaders and experts can come together and discuss how to preserve this landscape as we know it. This project includes a 3000 square foot meeting hall to be used for meetings pertaining to the wellbeing of the very landscape it inhabits, as well as providing a beautiful and elegant venue for events of all types. Located in the South East corner of the site is a 32-foot-tall elevated lookout platform were visitors can take in the beautiful views that the Everglades has to offer. A ramped pathway connects the entrance of the project to the main hall and the lookout platform in a loop that brings one from the ground level, through the canopy, eventually leading you above the trees where you have 360-degree views of the area. Individual moments throughout the project provide visitors with unique experiences that create a holistic experience of the site and the Everglades.
